Immunizations

The Florida Department of Health in Highlands County (DOH-Highlands) protects the health and safety of all residents by offering immunization services. Childhood, adult, and travel vaccines are available.

Immunizations (shots) prevent disease in those who receive them and protect those who come into contact with others who are not vaccinated. Vaccines reduce the risk of infection by working with the body's natural defenses to help it safely develop immunitiy to diseases.
